8/21/07 Litchfield National Park- Termite mounds

The next stop was Litchfield National Park. Our first stop was the enormous termite mounds. The picture is of a cathedral termite mound. There are other types but none so impressive. We also saw magnetic termite mounds which are very flat. Often it looked like a field of headstones.
