Thur. Oct. 7,2010 Buenos Aires

We got up and had a somewhat leisurely morning since we didn't leave the hostal (Portal del Sur) until 10 am. They were spraying for bugs so we had to be out by then. We took the subway to Palermo where we found the office of Say Hueque, the travel agent that booked nearly everything for our trip. We stopped in to say hello and meet the people that helped us out. They were all very nice and grateful we stopped. They were even excited to meet the baby that they had made plans for. After that we had lunch at La Cabrera- excellant meat! And then walked around Palermo, poking our heads into some of the shops. It started raining too and then it down poured! Luckily we had our rain gear with us!!!! Zach slept in the carrier underneath Marc's rain jacket! We walked in the rain to the Evita Museum which was interesting. Afterwards we headed back to our hostal. We went to a Mate tasting at the hostal at 6pm. We learned how to prep the gourds with the yerba and how it's customarily drank. I still think it's a little bitter even with sugar. One of the guys was playing his guitar and Zach was loving the music and all the attention. Of course everybody loved him too! We went out for dinner at an Italian restaurant, D'Ora. The steak ravioli with malbec sauce was delicious but Zach was really tired and a little crabby.
